Alex@Flawless Bikes
Try cleaning your rims. Plus what pads are you running that could be your problem.

Alex@Flawless Bikes
im just using the standard red hs33 pads. with a smooth rim. There is your problem, standard red pads are shit! Get some pads with a soft compound. Should work much better. Edited March 16, 2008 by E6v6i6l

Ladd
or Try NecoPads I have heard alot off good reviews and there very well priced! Edited March 16, 2008 by Mod-Mike
Krisboats
I'd reccommend trying out tar first, you could probably get blocks of wood to stop you properly if you used enough tar. The only downside is that you have to keep re-applying it throughout the ride. If you want to keep a smooth rim it is definately better to get some smooth rim specific pads. Muel
Get some Neco Yellows and a grind, a couple of people say its the way to go.
Phil H
Get some Neco Yellows and a grind, a couple of people say its the way to go.Don't do the above, a couple of people means nothing. You just want to use tar as Krisboats said. Whack some tar on and feel the power! As you progress you will start getting grinds and specific pads such as rock blues.Phil
Tom Perkins
Either a little bit of tar and move your pads closer to the rim(if they will go any further) or get a grind and/or new pads. Also I noticed you were from southwell. Fancy a ride sometime? Edited March 17, 2008 by tom perkins

cox.
deodorant ride it in, sorted. Works on all pads, best on plazzies and rock pads though. Give it a try, doesnt do anything to your rim, once your done riding clean it off dont just leave it on there x
