l33th3tr33
Hey, I'm Lee.Ive just got into trials about a month ago, Ive always liked trials but just never got round to trying it out. I was "Inspired" By the Danny Macaskil video to finally get into trials, Which im sure quite a few new riders are too. (Had to throw in the Inspired gag lol)I'm saving up for a trials specific bike at the moment but using my old dirt/street bike to learn on. Ive had it stripped as much as possible by stripping everything out of my forks (Springs etc..) And simply drilled a hole through and put a bolt in either side to keep them together. Ive also cut the seatpost stay or whatever it's called and replaced it with a quite eye catching beck's bottle cap instead of having a random hole in the frame, and drilled my rear rim. My friend used to have a BT Raven 4.0 and he says my bikes lighter than his was! I'll post some pictures of it soon, Oh and if anyone wants to see it standard then Google "Shogun Gatecrasher" I think it's the number 1.Anyway, I'm from Torquay, That's where i ride. I usually go out as late as possible as it's nice and quiet, A lot of company's are shut so they're premises are all mine!I'm into a lot of things, Computers, Gaming, Trials, Off roading with Torbay4X4Club, Films, And i simply cannot live without music! If there's anyone in or near Torquay then give me a shout if you have the patience to put up with beginners

chris4stars
Hi, im chris, 24yr old firefighter from edinburgh...anyone living/working around the city centre may have spotted me cycling to/from work every day, or playing around festival square on a kona stinky deluxe?! its a long shot...been doing xc and then downhill/freeride for a while now, with the odd play on a bmx...started trying 'trials like' moves on the stinky in august this year and was hooked! the bike didnt like it though, so to justify it to myself..i NEEDED a trials bike to save the stinky! the fourplay was an obvious choice (seeing danny around bristo square a while ago, and his videos now was a factor of course) definately looked like the 24" was suitable for the sorts of riding id want to do..which brings me to now, a new fourplay in the garage with a spec suited to me.....pictures will be up soon for any comments/slating!happy riding everyone! mtnbikerfred
Hello, I'm Mtnbikerfred (Fred) from Southern California. I ride moutain and race BMX. I'm hoping to be on my first proper trials bike very soon. I admit I was entertained by the "Danny" Videos, but I'm far more impressed by the skills, control, and efficiency the pro's in the UCI competition videos exhibit than what looks like street BMX on bigger wheels. Don't get me wrong. Those guys "own it". I just see what years of hard work and practice accomplishes in organized competition. Thanks for not getting hacked...See you around. Been browsing the forums, and I like what I've seen. I ride, (poorly, :$ ), an older Pitbull. Looking forward to spending some time here if you'll have me...Oh, yeah, I'm as old as dirt.P.s. would someone please PM Rush for me, (can't do it myself yet), and let him know I'm trying to reach him? Thanks, Steve.

chronic
Hello, I'm ray... I guess I'll be visiting for a while since otn was funked up Been riding for 7ish years... Currently ride an adamant a1 and a KObikes km1 mod. Looking for a new stock soon though. Its mega winter here, fortunately got permission to ride at my work. So buddies and I have built up some stuff in there, got some tunes going. Might keep me sane now, otherwise I'll get fat drinking beer.Buddy sean and his inspiredBuddy sean moments before he ate it. Good friend aaronAnd me, its amazing... in the last 5 years, I dont think I've been off my bike for more than a week or two, normally we have places set up to ride in right when it gets crappy outside. This year was a bit late because of some junk that happened with plans, but yeah... after about a month. I just felt like garbage! I hadn't even been drinking that much and my body ached, I was stiff.. thank god I can ride again. So yeah, hello.

My local spot is Lee Quarry and I dont have a car to drive anywere else I am currantly unemployed after going collage for 2 years, And my life is pretty much my bikes, i rode alot as a kid till I was about 14. Got the bug again at 17 and got a dirt jump bike for my birthday, since then i have been inspired my riders such as Ali-C, Danny Mac ect.I got a mod trials bike and realised that wasnt for me, so i got a onza hitman stock bike and absolutly love it ! im definatly more comfertable on a 26" learnt loads in the month or so iv had the bike and learning more each time i ride.. cruisercrazy
Wow this sounds so typical, but here it goes. I started riding biketrials about 2 years ago, at age 44, so my learning curve is a little slower than most. Not really because of age but because of work, family, life in general. My progression has been pretty steady though and I thoroughly enjoy the sport. I also ride moto trials, (some 30 years at that), but I find that a lot of skills do not cross over. I'm currently riding a Adamant A-1 front disc, rear echo's, pretty much a stock Webcyclery setup. And it's been holding up very well for me. I also have a A-3 mod as kind of a backup bike or for something a bit different. Although I registered here quite a while ago, I just kind of lurk here occastionally. I thought I'd finally post something since OTN is down. I really like the fact that there isn't so much garbage on this site. Thanks, and glad to be here. DaveGT
Hello,I'm Craig. I don't know how this is going to do but there seems to be lots of "Hi I'm new" thread's around here.I think that we should have one big thread for it... So here it is. The "introduce yourself" Thread. It's simple. If you're new then come here and say hi, introduce yourself to everybody... I'm sure everybody will be happy to see you here. It just saves space from having to make more and more threads about the same thing every other day for the older members just to say, "Hey welcome to the forum." It kinder gets boring! It's simple and easy to do, e.g.Hello to you all. I'm Dave and I'm 25. I live in Lowestoft and recentely decided to get back into the trials scene. I used to ride trials when I was in middle and high school however when I left and started work I passed my driving test and the bike and trials was unfortunately discarded. I recentely gave up smoking and not being a gym type of guy have decided it'd be nice to get another bike and get out riding again as it's good exercise as well as a lot of fun. I'm hoping to pick up maybe a 24" trials bike as I've ridden both 20" and 26" and fancy something different. Hope to speak to some of you soon as so much has changed and I feel new to the scene again after so many years away. Here's to a new startthanks guys and girlsDaveHey I'm Craig, I'm new to the forum and I ride a Monty 221 PR.I've been doing Trials for about 16 months and I love it. I ride round Medway as that is where I live. I tend to go round Rainham area to ride my bike.My other Hobbies are;Football, Swimming, Golf, Fishing, Ice skating, Cricket and loads of other things I can't be bothered to say .Thanks Craig. That's all you need to do.Have you noticed...?No spelling mistakes,Good use of punctuation, Good grammar,No swearingAnd followed these rules:http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....p;f=13&id=3It's simple as that. So instead of all you new members making new threads then post it all in one Thread. It's so much easier! Thanks Craig .

sxbud138
Hi everyone, My name is scott and I just picked up trials riding this spring. I started out on a monty X-lite and moved on to a monty 221 PR, I then got a great deal on a older GU stock frame which I built up to see how I liked riding a stock. To make a long story short, I loved riding the stock. I rode my Gu for about 3 months then found a great deal on a lightly used rockman kortz frame and fork, I just built it up in the last week and LOVE it. I found a used echo es4r frame and built it up but stopped riding shortly after.I started riding again 4 or 5 months ago and have been loving it since. I'm looking for a new frame to build up for next season and I can't wait!Welcome sxbud138.This is Adman from OTN,glad to hear you are enjoying that kortz you bought. Scooter916
Hey guys, I'm Nathan from the sunny sate of California. I'm 25 and as a member of OTN until it got hacked so now I have migrated over to hear in search of useful trials tips and chatI just got into trials after more than a few years of interest. I built up a "trials" bike about 8 years ago. It wasn't really a trials bike just a Trek bruiser in a size 13.5" it was heavy, clunky and had a very poor engaging hub. I never really learned to do more than trackstand, or hop in place on the rear wheel. I sold the bike when I needed some cash and never picked it backup.Ii just recently got hooked again (Thanks Danny Mac) and have decided to build up a legit trails bike. This time around I have decided to build up a ZHI ZM1 Mod with good parts all around. I hope to start picking up more and moreI will post up some pics of the build up as my parts start rolling in

Damn Canadian
Hi my name is Jason and I am 38 and I live in Canada. I ride mod and moto trials and both my kids now ride mod (7 and 10). I have 6 mods in the garage so when my son's have friends over they can also ride. I also help out the unfortunate kids around the area by either letting them ride the bikes or I rebuild their bikes so they won't break anytime soon. Glad you posted here, I kinda assumed that I could always go back to those posts to contact riders.... until OTN crashed, what a shame. Anyway, a few of us less talentd riders are thinking about riding up the Columbia Gorge a ways at a place called Dallasport, just over the Dalles bridge on the Washington side over the New Years weekend. Kind of depends on weather and if I can scrounge up any interest.... Let me know if you would like to go and I'll get you more detailed directions and a time and place. There are a couple new guys in Hood river that have been asking me to come up and give them a few pointers.
