My finger still hasnt grown back ( When i used to ride with my old mates I had done for about 4 or 5 years, but they have all sold there bikes and/or gone away to uni or other parts of the country now for stupid 'career' reasons and stuff... but i really wanna get back into riding and dont know anyone who rides anymore around me...I live near shibden park in Halifax, West Yorkshire, but iv got a car so id be willing to travel far and wide to go riding, especially now the summers here! So if you live in or around west yorkshire and have got any decent rides planned, PLEASE let me know and ill tag along!Hope to speak to someone soon!Rick x

oblongbob
Hi my name's Douglas and I'm just beginning to get into trials. Been riding mountain bikes pretty much since they were invented, and have always liked hopping around on them. Just got a DB Kabuki Mono which I'm currently trying to get to stay on it's back wheel....very much work in progress (I see people here don't hold DBs in high regard - at least that lets me blame the bike for the moment!).The forum seems a really useful place for a newbie to get information and I've been scouring it for tips.CheersDouglasPS I'm 30 so plenty old too! André
Hi everyone, my name is André and I live in Southport in the North West of England. I am in my mid 20's and I have just got back into trials after about 6 years of not riding. I messed my shoulder up and I also broke my leg, and shortly after this I started working long hours and got a car. Anyway all of that is behind me now (apart from the shoulder complaint) so i'm back on my bike again. I ride stock and i'm rather out of touch with the current scene and the latest technology, so i'm trying to learn what new parts are out there and what manufacturers are making the best quality components now. My bike is around 8 years old and a little heavy, but it seems to be in good working order. I'm also looking out for any riders in my area as it would be great to ride with a few people again (any skill level, I don't mind). There used to be a little group of us here but i've lost touch and I think everyone else I knew has long since packed it in now? Anyway I look forward to getting in touch with some riders and learning about the latest kit.............I just wish it would stop raining here so I could go out and ride! Many thanks, André

Jump
Hello folks,After much debating i finally went and ordered my bike this afternoon, hopefully it will be with me in a week or two.I'm 26, from Belfast and haven't been on any sort of bike in quite a few years. I used to enjoy Mountain Bike's and had the odd BMX many moons ago. However after watching a few videos on youtube, mainly that of Mr Macaskill, I thought i'll never know unless I try it out....Obviously i'm aware i'll be poop on the bike for a while, but i tend to pick things up pretty quick so i'm hoping to be competent quickly enough I decided to go for an Onza bike (Comp 09), after a couple of recommendations and I didn't really have to time or relevant knowledge to try and custom build one.So that's about it, now i'll go and troll the forums to try and pick up some more information

I mean... It's supposed to be a jump bike and the derailleur and a spoke broke after only a 1' drop -.-Starting uni in September at Newcastle with Computer Science but hopefully I'll still be able to fit a lot of practice in, hoping to meet some other people there that also do trials but at the moment I'm in Scarborough Trials looks almighty fun :)
