Dan6061
Was going through my PS2 games the other night, and found some ones for online gaming, so I decided to set my network adapter up again. My set up:Netgear DG384 wireless router.Netgear WGE111 wireless game adapter.PS2 ethernet adapter thing.AOL...Vista PC.Had it working like, last year sometime, and had to set it all up again as the game adapter reset itself.Usually, to set the game adapter up to the network, you plug it into the router with the ethernet cable, run though the configuration assistant, and it sorts it out for the network. Then you type the IP for it (192.168.0.202) in IE/FF, and then configure it there. But i'm having no luck with that.On the configuration assistant, it finds the adapter, then starts searching for the wireless network, and then the progress bar gets right near the end, then freezes, then a box comes up saying 'Network error !' then that's it.Tried ringing Netgear support, and after 20minutes of talking to some aisian guy, I got put through to their 'senior technician' who thought I couldn't get my PC online. Then after telling him that was fine, he wondered why I was ringing them!? So I hung up. Useless.I tried configuring the game adapter to the network with the CA, after the 'Network error !' it has a 'next' option, so I chose that and put in my network settings. Now it's linked up to the PS2, and i've got the Network Access Disk in, and trying to configure it. The AOL sign in information is all correct (username and password) and it automatically detected the settings:PPPoE and Auto everything else..Then when it does the diagnostic it says:'Couldn't connect to a PPPoE server'Spent ages looking through pages on Google, but none of those pages match my problem.
