Some of you may remember some cad models of a frame I was planning to make for my A2s a few months ago?

Well, I actually went ahead and built it! it's not quite finished, but this gives you an idea of it.

I'm going to get it sprayed and built up over easter.

just finished spraying it and fitting the BB. what do you all think?!

I made the dropouts myself (there's a disc mount on the left one too) and I syole the BB shell and headtube from an old steel xc frame.

Go Go Huge HAZ :D :D

Nice one, I designed a bmx frame at uni for my final year project; was only a design exercise though, was never intended for manufacture.

Hope it doesnt snap at an inoppurtune moment :)

I'm assuming that you're aiming for a decent grade, and as such have looked into modelling the frame, testing it etc so you know what to put into the final product, but that rear end just looks like it's totally unsupported, or are you still looking to add the seat tubes and gusset/plate?

It's going to have the some plate and supports as in the cad model, it's not completely finished yet...

With the plates and stuff all on, I think 2.5kg might be a bit optimistic. The T-Bone I tested ages ago that was straight gauge was the heaviest frame in the world, ever. Literally the heaviest frame I've run, either BMX or trials :P

Looks sweet though dude, looking forward to seeing the finished product :)
