Hi everyone,

I have a avid juciy 5 front disk with a 160mm rotor but i'm wanting to get a smaller rotor

partly because i die everytime i press the front brake and partly because i keep hitting my rotor

(and because i want to be different)... I'm looking for a rotor thats ither 140mm or 120mm and a adaption kit to fit...

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Rick x

ohh - i have echo urban "20" forks if that helps too

Only problem i can see (apart from lack of power) is that your caliper wouldnt work. loosing 40mm would be like running a 160 rotor with a +40 adaptor. the tiniest amount of rotor would touch the pad, thus making it gay.

Thanks for reply... iv'e been wanting to have a smaller rotor for a while...

just checked CRC and found this

http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=15263 - Alvilable in 140mm

and

http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=13725 - -20 disk adaptor

But the question remains... Will it fit

Cheers

No. That's for going down to a 185 from a 203 mount.

Hope make rotors to work with any brake , so thats not the hard part to find , getting an adapter will though.

140 front is pretty un heard of , though avid do make a 140 rear in the ultimate brake , though a rear 140 adapter would be 160 front .
