Soul Reaper 13
My best mate, a good trials rider, and other people have told me to get a T-Pro as a starter bike, because they are strong and really good for the price. Plus as they are 20" that helps a lot for beginners (obvious reasons).I definetely want a 20" and £350 is my budget (roughly). Should i get this (new at £350) or is there anything better for that price new?Or should i get a 2nd hand bike that will be better but well, 2nd hand (i dont want it to break straight away, it will have to last at least a year), if yes which one(s)?Thanks in advance, Scott
Luke Rainbird
I'd go second hand. Keep an eye on the FS/WTD section of this forum, and see what comes up. You often get bargains floating around, and due to the (un)fortunate fact that trials kit depreciates ridiculous amounts, you'll be able to grab a good spec for that sort of priceAs a new member you won't be able to post in this section of the forum, however look for an email address in someone's profile or similar, and get in touch with them via MSN/email (this IS allowed) and have a chat, get some info/pics etc and see if you can come to some sort of arrangement
Soul Reaper 13
Thanks mate, but for a new bike round £350 quid what should i get? Loads of people say the T-Pro and loads the yaabaa 499.
bradnutter
I would get a monty 219 there really good bikes and i would recomend 1. There in the 300 zone and monty are really good dealing with problems if anythink goes wrong. Edited March 11, 2008 by bradnutter

RossMcd
I would go with the yaabaa as it is a cheaper brand of koxx. They look good to imo!
cai
No, between the T-Pro, Monty 219 Alp, Yaabaa 499, which is best? Why?T-Pro!But get the 2006 version 2nd hand - better rims, and have magura's! Also if you get a bargin on one, I recomend you purchase a new rear hub as T-Pro hubs don't last that long (due to them having open sealed bearings), get one off Tarty such as an Echo or Viz. TrialKid32
I think you should get the T-Pro because then you have a new bike instead of risking a 2nd hand one that will break. And I think it's a good starter bike and a reasonable price.
Alex Dark
either a t-pro new...or a second hand pimped t-pro off here or ebay would be your best bet
nicks
My mate has a T-pro and they are very common, if you want to be different like me get a yaabaa 499 and later buy some hs33.Andrew
