Headley
I know rock blues are brilliant pads but I was wondering what the greens are like if anyone has tried them out? I have used the search but nothing much has turned up. Please give me your review if you have used them.
Oli Smith
they're mint on a smooth rim with a nice sound, andd on a grind they have a lot more lock with little sound. But altogether there a good alround pad which gave me aload of confidence to go bigger...

Oli Smith
what is hold and bite like, do they slip often? The hold is incredible in the dry on a smooth rim, but in the wet my brake has slipped but not often.. On a grind they're awesome in wet and dry but they'res a lack in sound, The bite feels awesome too, mainly in the dry on smooth and the sound is sweet. But the bites is also mint on a grind in wet and dry but I run my pads on smooth and I prefer them that way..If you wanna ask anything else add moi msn lilsmithy_2008@hotmail.co.ukOli

boiiing
Mine were ok (on a really light grind).Didn't work in the wet though, but in the dry were awesome.... for 2 weeks. Then they wore down in 3 days.Theres better pads around. Such as the Heatsink range, Koxx range and plazmatic crm's.My personal favourite are the Koxx browns they last years, always loud and bitey with immense hold and work well in dry and wet.I'd suggest using them if you want a good brake in most conditions. If you don't ride in wet and want smooth rim, the Neco red pads are meant to be amazing on smooth
Ben John-Hynes
I had my set and they were shit, Worst pads ever.had them set up fine and gave thema good 2 weeks to bed in.Still nothing.Exactly what happened to meThey were crap on my smooth rimHave they changed the compound in recent months maybe?'Cause all they ever did with me was slip!I'd recomment Plazmatics! They're EPIC! Ben John-Hynes
what do you mean when you say on a grind ?. Is it a trick or something ?thanks billA LOT of trials riders take an angle grinder to their rim, gently running it around the surfaceto "roughen up" the surface of the rim's sidewall to enhance braking performance,With the right pads, a Grind can be awesome, but with the wrong pads, they'll just ware down very quickly!xDBut for the best summer brake, keep a "smooth"(unground) rim with soft compound pads!:DBen Edited April 2, 2008 by Benjaminge
2sixstreet
As a few other have said, Greens are brilliant on a smooth rim. I had to change to pads with less bite and a bit more of modulation because I hadn't done many moves to front. I couldnt get used to them and thought i'd do myself an injury. spaceman
Don't you think those Rock greens are the "rip off" of Heatsink Cousts?
boiiing
No not at all, cousts actually work
spaceman
Yeah, that's what I meant. Cousts > Rock greens
