spartan
Dude depends on your set up.Front discs are way more expensive than vees but i think its worth the extra. My Juicy 7 feels... is lush the word in the UK
Ladd
I would run a front bb7 mate not to expensive you could pick up a hole brake for about £55, But if you dont have the forks or disc hub you will need to buy all that wich works out a fair bit, maybe a new set off pads on the magura front brake also a new grind and make sure the pads are set up well
Headley
front disk are deffinatly more popular. Avid bb7's are are great if your looking for a cheap one - £55. You can't go wrong; easy set up, no bleeding/re-bleeding, all round a brilliant brake.

Gandalf the Yellow
if you run a shit rim then get disc, cos it buckles all the time. otherwise get some rim brakes for lightness steve

COCKY
GET A DISC AND IT WILL WORK IN THE WET GET ONE OFF TRIALS-UK.CO.UK
Z o o !!
GET A DISC AND IT WILL WORK IN THE WET GET ONE OFF TRIALS-UK.CO.UKWHY DID YOU WRITE THAT IN CAPITALS ITS LOOKS LIKE YOUR SHOUTING ?On another note, Front disc has always seemed a mkore popular coice but now front rim brakes seem to be making a come back, front magura is used by alot of top riders aswell as vee's. It all comes down to personal prefrance, Front maguras are beasts when they are set up with decent pads, grind and a bleed. Same goes for vee, decent pads, cable and lever. Id say front magura as i find my bb7 abit too visous, il be changing to front maggie soon.
gu trials
i found out that disks are a lot easier to fray than magura on the front so i would go with a bb7 and plus it wil work better in wet than rim brake
nicks
well if you already have a rim break you will need a new hub and forks but disk brakes are much better.
angrybeaver23
Front disc is a much better idea as rim brakes can be rubbish in the wet and too snappy for stoppies etcabut just be carefull abour pranging you disc as it could be expensive especially if you tend to prefer sidehops up to the left etc! Control-Trials
I run a Front Magura. Performence isn't great at the moment. Saying that, I havn't touched my bike in two years.Current set up is: Magura HS33, Plaz pads smooth rim. Think im going to upgrade a Hope mono Trials soon. Not to sure, because that means i've got get a new front hub and disc forks.
