Umbicular Setups

Hi everyone

I was just wondering does any of you guys run certain setups that other trials riders dont normally use?

I.E grips, gear, shifts, Tyres etc?

and state the reason why you like the parts compared to the run of the mill trials spec parts, other riders trials use.

Or even home made parts you have bodged yourself. :shifty:

Mine must be my grips i use wrap around racing bike grips :giggle:

PROS.

Has the feel and grip of foam grips but takes about 10x longer to wear down.

you can make them as long, short, thin or thick as you want.

you can still get them in all the snazzy coulors as most trials spec grips.

CONS.

I seriously cant think of any.

Piccie :$ :-

apparently, umbicular isn't a word...

i used to have a clear crossover on my hs33 (it was easier to install than a proper one :P) which was cool cus you could see the liquid move (and the air bubbles :)

but it was slightly larger gauge than the proper hose, so it leaked. I've since fixed it, using another crossover i remembered i had.

hahaha

I read the first line and was like 'I run roadie bar tape,' imagine my shock when I scroll down and find that you do the same! apart from that my mod is pretty much a trials specific bike.

Im totallt in love with the bar tape because enough to do one side of a roadie bike will do both side's of mine, so I get 4 grips for the price of two. I used to love monty foam grips but their durability is poor and I can't afford to change them every month like I used to back home, and finally the feel of having bar's nice n tiny so I can wrap my small hands the whole way around the bar is great.
