Weird Snapped Magura

Out of interest, did you tighten the bolt further after it snapped? Doesn't look much of a gap between the snapped bit of clamp and the main body, like the gap is completely closed if you know what I mean?

No i didn't keep tightening it but did go for quick a ride on it with the snapped lever. (It's a new bike i couldn't help myself :- )

is there a torque setting for the lever clamp? did you use a torque wrench....no? then you voided your warranty. good luck with the warranty claim, but expect to have that excuse thrown at you and its a fair excuse at that.

Checked the documentation and there's no suggested torque setting, anyone know what i would set the torque wrench at?

I think its just a really shitty design.

(Y)(Y) If the clamp snaps before the bolt strips it's a shitty design. If the clamp snaps when the bolt is no where near stripping and lots of other people say 'yeah that happend to me too' then it's definately a shitty design.

Anyways i've taken it back to the shop who are going to send it off and see what they can do. Quick plug for Gear Bikes on Gordon Street in Glasgow cos one of the guys has offered to lend me his spare magura it it's sorted B)

Dont mean this to sound bad but it looks like youve just sawed through it.

Don’t mean to be mean but I just looks like you've photo shopped it. (your car)

Lol joking. No I was just doing up the bold and snap! :

But come on why would I saw my brake? I would only have to buy another.

Craig.
