I do.Here are my favourites;Shawshank Redemption - Thomas Newman - Youtube Example of Newmans work (specifically 3:02 to the end of the video are my favourites)Man On Fire/ Metal Gear Solid - Harry Gregson Williams - I also LOVE Michael Giacchino's work on the film Cloverfield (the only song on the film - ) and also his score to Lost is incredible, in particular 'Parting Words' on the season 1 soundtrack - Youtube Parting Words link)In terms of arrangements not off of film I like Shostakovich (in particular his Andante concerto - Youtube)YOU!Show me your favourites! My Girlfriends in Kent Youth Wind Orchestra, havnt heard her play this piece live but would love to one day. ZeroMatt Posted March 3, 2008 Report Share Posted March 3, 2008 (edited) I really love John Williams' original Superman theme.Maurice Jarre with the Lawrence of Arabia theme is amazing.Really like one of the Batman pieces but can't seem to find it anywhereI also really love the Deep Purple and LSO Concerto for group and orchestra piece, found a few bits on youtube but if anyone wants the full 53 min version pm me took me a few months to find it.TheCircus I hadn't heard that Shawshank Redemption stuff or that Lost bit, both are really quite brilliant. He also did the Band of Brothers score, which was the incredible, as well as writing and conducting the entire orchestral part of Metallica's S&M - again, incredible.
