Greetings
I'm sure those of us who have been riding for 7+ years remember how difficult it was to buy parts that took the abuse of trials and didn't brake down. Most of us started riding trials on bikes that were not suited for this sport or were constantly falling apart, making progress slow and difficult. So if you could choose 3 parts (which you'd have to pay for) and send them back in time to your early days of trials riding, which would these be? I think I'd go for a rear Magura with coust pads, an ENO freewheel and a rear Echo rim. It's hard to choose, the whole bike was a wreck
AdamR28
What a good thread...Would probably send an ENO also (reliable drive), up-to-date frame (something like an Ozonys) so it rode well, aaannddd... some decent HS33 pads like Rock Blue with grinding instructions heheNice one
ogre
i'd send a chriss king to hope, post c.k releasing them, demanding some form of royalties, good pads + a note saying, get a stock.

Phatmike
Cool idea.A CD with loads of modern, awesome videos.Definately good braking system, as has been mentioned.Decent frame again. We had hope XC's, which were perfectly reliable, and likewise DX32's, which are still the best rims out there. F-Stop Junkie
HmmmmKoxx Levelboss frame - Moved the whole game on overnightHope Trial disc - God knows we tried every other idea with discs. Was nice to have one that seems that work for everyoneHeatsink Middleburn bash - For when we knew no better than wanting to cover a 32 tooth ring to try and keep the bike rideable I'd also like w-i-d-e bars too, but they weren't too bad way back when. Luke Rainbird
Avid Ultimates, Heatsink Vee kit (pads/backings/adaptors) and a Cloud9 bash would go back in time for me(However, I'd much rather send FORWARD the '04 Control frame, and bring it up to date with a few little features like Vee mounts, little CNC stiffening around the yokes...) Radfax
some decent cranks - like a set of middleburns FSA's were shit! a wide rear rim - D521's were crap! a long low frame - 16" trials frames were always shit!
streetjibs
awesome thread!!!have to be avid ultimate calipers - the old stx-rcs i had were the best ever bk then lola decent tyre - mixxing elgatos with tioga dh's and then python golds up front.. yuk!!lastly - frame and fork!! something like ozonys and viz fork or similar. riding a 19" diamondback with bout 4inches of bb drop and heavy arse forks was shite!!good to hear all these advancements in our sport. other areas i reckon have made a huge difference, wide rims, handlebars and stems, cranks (no more powerpros!!yay) bb, brakes etc.. its all good
Muel
I'd send a frame to replace the T-Pro I cracked after 6 weeks. Also, a Tensile freewheel, and a set of Echo Lite forks.
manuel
Hope pro II strong forks and i guess a set of burns - all sent to me personally - I mean i ran fsa's (ha) gt tripple butted forks which cracked every year and shitmano hubs .... all the things i wanted were available (hope XC, loads of decent enough (for the time) forks, better crank / guard combos (if not burns ?)) - i just couldnt afford them !!! all the rest of my bike was pretty shite but i had soo much fun riding it - so just these three to keep the fun going... otherwise if i had sent myself a modern geometry frame i would have got bored and quit yonks ago ... its all about evolution.
