Alex Dark
welcome to the forum....er...an on-one gimp isnt the ideal platform for building a trials bike..as its steel and not amzing geometry for trials. If you wait a little whil you'll be validated and can pick up a cheap fairly modern stock frame ( 26" ) for around £

I know the gimp is far from ideal but it's all i've got at the moment. it's also 24" which aint exactly perfect.i'll upgrade to something more specific in the near future once i'm a bit more in to it.CheersMatt
richporter
Matt, I've got a gimp too, my local bike shop recommended it after i pranged a few other frames. I've not found it to be ideal at all, hope you do better. I've just got back into my trials for some of the same reasons, losing the gut and getting back into the sport i loved when i was younger! I'm riding a DDG Shooter at the moment but think i'll too be trying to get something better if i get validated.Hope all the riding goes well! MattE
I'm sure the gimp will be fine until it starts to hinder me. i cant afford a new bike at the moment so it'll have to be the gimp!cheersMatt
Ubuntu_user
hey, I find that when your riding trials... your setup doesn't have to be perfect to still have a lot of fun!!!
