Danny Kearns
Ok. Just been sitting here watching a listing on these Raceline Magura's. Bidding was at like £10.50. Then all the bids got canceled like 1 min before it was due end. So i put a bid in for £30 to make sure i won it. The someone else put a bid in and so i won it for £10.54.She doesn't contact me till after the auction has ended to tell me the brakes have been sold thats why bids were cancled. Its now showing up on my ebay that i have won and need to pay for the item etc.Shouldn't she of removed the listing ?Is there anything i can do ? Danny. NileBrown™
Isn't ebay a legally binding contract and if you won the item, the items yours so your,(if im right) entitled to what you won. Danny Kearns
So what can i do about it ?How do i go about getting my items ?Danny.
NileBrown™
Complain to ebay. Normally they ignore you as its relatively a cheap item to argue over but if you keep emailing them, and when I mean keep - im saying about 4 times a day lol, they should eventually reply you and you should go on from there. Danny Kearns
How do you complain to Ebay ?Danny.
NileBrown™
When your at 'my ebay', look at the left hand side of your screen and it should say 'my ebay views' and its a list of things you can do and at the bottom of that list it should say ' dispute console'then do what you need to do
craigjames
my dad does a lot of stuff on ebay and has got screwed over like this a few times by people either refusing to actually give him the stuff or saying its sold already. as legally binding as ebay is supposed to be, you'll be unlikely to get your brakes, the dispute thingy is pretty ineffective as we've found out.good luck with getting the bits but dont be surprised if you dont. Muel
I'd just let it go, delete it from your ebay account and find some more.
Revolver
perhaps you should not pay, and then when they get edgy about it, say, 'well, i bidded for the item, and won it, and then when i had, i was told it was already sold elsewhere, so i'm not paying for it if i'm not getting it.' Pagie
Danny, Ebay was messing me around earlier too... ive been trying to buy an ipod off there today and had a bid cancelled with about 20 seconds to go... and was annoyed because i would of won that item. I then find another 'Buy It Now' so i think yee thats the right money ill have that go through all the paypal and such come to check 'my ebay' and its not there? but i got an e-mail through telling me id won... Its probly just an ebay problem? Get in touch with the seller?
PaRtZ
Id get in touch with her again, and really complain, say she should have ended it early etc etc then if she still says no, say even though you dont want, you'll get ebay personally involved, and then if things carry on, as said, just leave it and give bad feedback

Caleb
there like the most common coloura pair of maguras would usually go for around £60 on ebay so you should have kind of noticed. You got a link to the pahe? you sure she didnt but in bold "sold sold sold-do not bid etc?sounds obvious but i bid on loads of stuff without fully reading the description.the reason they put sold etc is because if there are bids on the item and its in the last day of the listing they can't legitimately end it so they make clear its sold. JT!
I'd just leave negative feedback, and leave it at that.Mistakes happen, the brakes have been sold on.
Jolfa
I'd just leave negative feedback, and leave it at that. Why bother, the seller hasn't really done anything that terrible, they were considerate enough to tell bidders that they'd been sold... Just means you'll get a bad feedback in return. And yes, Racelines are probably the most common colour aswell...
