Avid Juicy 5 Or Bb7

Something around £60 for each BB7 I would think, obviously more if you want to go all out with XTR levers and good cables. You've really got to have a good lever an cable for the BB7 to realise how much of a good brake it is, I've ridden BB7s with crap levers an crap cables and it doesn't do them any justice. I've never used Juicy 5's so I can't make a comparison but I know from using BB7s front an rear how stonkingly good they can be.

BB7 without any doubt.

Avid disk brakes are shocking in my opinion

Phil

The BB7 is made by Avid?

I've used Juicy 5s and 7s and a BB7 on various bikes. I'm guessing this is purely for trials use yeah? The Juicy 5 has little adjustment which can be a pain if you like your brake a certain way. I've used a Juicy 7 on my main trials bike for 2 years now. Its basically the same as the 5 with added adjustment. It has a great smooth and solid feel compared to a cable disc which I love. It definitely has less bite than a BB7 though. Not a lot, but it is noticeable when trying gaps to front on rails or benches where bite is everything.

If you want to run dual disc for trials then I'd say go with the BB7

Check One more for BB7. Lock really well and feels good. I would go for an XTR lever, and Im using a standard cable and outer.

Go for the 8" rotor. Also Keep and Eye on Ebay, got mine Brand new for £25, was from a repo company in the USA that shut a bike shop down and was selling their stock.
