Tom Booth
Are they side mount seats ? Look it. The'll be a doddle to fit, the'll be fixxed in position thou so make sure you are comfortable where the seat it. They wont slide!
Kieran@ZSClothing
Yeah i think wear i sit is fine but is there no way i can make it slide?cheers.
Mr_scott
Theres always a way, you just have to invent it if not already.Whats the width from sholder to sholder on the seat? You might have a problem getting them sitting side by side,if you get me. ? Tom Booth
I severely doubt it. There might be some sort of adapters to make a side mount fit a subframe, but you'r better off just buying subframe mounted seats?
Dan6061
They look fairly wide to me...I have some pretty wide buckets that I bought for my Mini, but I didn't think about the width. They do go in, but they're huge, and rub together, and on the insides of the car, so I just took them out in the end. Tom Booth
Right, A subframe mounted seat, means a seat, thats on a frame, usually allowing for sliding and tilting in the seats. Thats a subframe, as you can see, it allows the seat to move foward and backwards on the sliders.Side mounted bucket seats, such as the ones you posted, are bolted directly to the floor pan, via brackets. As you can see, the brackets are alread on there, and that just bolts directly to the floor.

Those look like they'd give you a numb ass in no time at all.Right, A subframe mounted seat, means a seat, thats on a frame, usually allowing for sliding and tilting in the seats. You can bolt them directly to the floor though, lowers the position but you lose all adjustability. Its usually only cheaper seats that are subframe mounted (without sidemounts)

Without getting personal, what sort of waist width are you? Aslong as your under a 40" waist you'll be fine with buckets. Are you going with Harnesses aswell?Lol, no the sidemount brackets will then mount to a subframe mate. Tom Booth
I have no idea about the 2 poles comming out the floor....But you should have on the cross member 2 seat mounts per side, with a nut and bolt in each. Then next to the exhaust tunnel, a rail that bolts down on the floor at each end.

Gavyn.
Ye, otherwise you'd have to jack car up and unbolt the seats everytime you wanted to move closer/ further from the wheel! In motorsport sidemounted seats are usually bolted straight to the floor unless your taking part in some kind of endurance race where you have to change driver.reason for mounting them to the floor is that you want to keep the weight and centre of gravity low and also it's less weight and in some cases you don't go to the trouble of having a kevlar seat molded to the shape of your arse because it's light to go and add 5 kilos a pair with subframes.for just daily driving on the road though cobra clubmans mounted either some homemade frames or straight to the floor in the most comfortable position if it's just you who drives it. Trials Punk
CORBEAU SPRINTS ARE A B**TCH TO FIT I've got some here. Havn't fitted them yet. Need to cut out the rear door bins and re locate the harness eye bolts near the handbrake for the side mounts to fit nice. Shoulder to shoulder they are very wide. Don't get me wrong nice seats but you'll stuggle to see behind you.
Radfax
i had already cut my bins out so didnt get that problem!
