tomturd
Wierdly I order quite a bit of stuff from dealextreme (wicked site), often at values over £32, and I know of others who do the same and they never seem to get stopped by customs. Dealextreme is in HongKong by the way. The second I got something from America I was made to pay £11 for tshirts worth £20.
The Duck
Does that limmit apply for import duties or just taxes? If its over £36, you'll get charged improt tax, VAT etc etc to about 22.5% of what the package is worth + 22.5% of the postage cost.So for example, if your order contained £90 worth of stuff, and cost £10 to post you'd get charged £22.50.If its under about £40 they normally let you off, but if its serious dosh - they'll get you for it.Edit: Just remembered 'extra handling duty' about £8 regardless of weight/value.
