Muel
Every Onza part I have ever owned has been pretty rubbish. My brother's T-Lite seems OK so far.Piece of advice. Don't buy a standard build, ring up supercycles and get a custom spec thing. My brother got a brand new T-Lite with all the parts from a spec 2 T-Mag for £620.The T-Lite frame is by far the best Mod frame onza have done that I have ridden, once we got new forks it was all sorted! Cranks are too long though.http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....=103042&hl=Basically, a really decent bike for £600.Or you could have a look on ebay, you'll be surprised how cheap second hand bikes are. I've been trying to sell my old bike for £450, and no-one wants it. They depreciate so much you can get a really, really nice bike for the price of a new T-Pro.Rather than list all the rubbish Onza parts, I'll list the good ones.T-Master Wheels.Tensile Freewheels. I dont have that much money because i have an expensive dirt jump bike, wont an onza be ok for a beginner to learn on, and then i can upgrade parts if they do break, or is it really worth it just buying a good bike straight off? Muel
Onza Hog pedals? My brother has them, they're shite.T-Pro frame? I hated mine, it was ok ish geo, flexy as f**k and cracked in 6 weeks.Tensile cranks? Many have snapped, I wouldn't trust them.Tensile BB + Headset? Never tried the BB or headset.Onza forks are good.... They are that good, I have 2, brand new, unsellable pairs in the shed from my T-Pro and my brother's T-LiteOnza 30" carbon risers are good too! And the 28". New list:T-Master Wheels.Tensile Freewheels.Tensile BB. Possibly.Tensile Headset. PossiblyCarbon bars, both legnths. The problem with Onza is that a lot of the stuff is quite old, it was brilliant when it came out, but it's not really up to it any more when compared to some of the other stuff. dec
yes onza is great for begginers but when you get to tunnis level then they are crap but i dont think it is that people dont like onza i think its more down too there is alot more products and makes that are alot better etc but it is also all down to personla prefrence cheers dec
Matty M
yes onza is great for begginers but when you get to tunnis level then they are crapSome parts could be faulty from the factory too? most people take onza for granted. They are actually a really abitious(sp?) and prosperous company providing really good bikes at a competitive price. They must of done something good to be at the level they are now? Peperami
not if u actuly use them for trials there not... snapped god knows how many pairs last year. Not snapped them yet, thanks for putting my mind at rest though... and you're a smooth rider too! Skoze
Tensile cranks? Many have snapped, I wouldn't trust them.Wasn't there like one bad batch? mine are going strong after about 18 months and so are loads of others And on the bar subject, Bessel is a beast so it's not surprising
Muel
I think it was the older ones that had the side facing outwards towards you legs all machined out.My brothers are the one's that are smooth and shiny, and they are as stiff as f**k! Only problem is that they are 170mm so they feel wierd on a 990wb Mod.

Chandler
Hi, I’m new to trials so don’t really no much, and reading through the forums I’ve noticed a lot of people don’t like onza, I’m just wondering why as I’m thinking of getting one.Its just a snob value thing mate...nothing wrong with Onza!It just depends how much you want to spend on a bike... or in some cases, how much you want your parents to spend on a bike.Just bare in mind, it probably costs about £15 for any trials frame to be manufactured in a Chinese workshop. So when you are riding your Koxx for example, the word Sucker should be written on it too On a more serious note, the high end brands do make some better components, but its nothing to worry about until your an expert level rider... NileBrown™
Your forgetting the Trex frames lads. Those frames are tanks, yes they weigh a bit but they sure are strong and the trex is my most favorite onza frame
anzo
Hate is such a strong word and I don't think for one minute that the majority of the forum hate onzas. The beginners thing is true in some respects. Mainly down to the cost of the bikes, a beginner isn't going to go out and buy a bike for £1200; onza gives the option of a reasonable bike and an excellent frame (t-pro) for about £400, even less second hand. However, it may not survive the same stresses as say a deng frame; although its 3:1 ratio on the cost...a disposable frame.People have a hell of a lot to thank onza for on this forum; cheaper parts, more riders and improving the trials scene.Whether or not Onza like the 'beginner' frame reputation or not is another question, although its without a doubt that its a good market. People moan when somethings too expensive and still moan when its too cheap.
Scotty Evil1
I dont see why people complain about onza so much, They make world championship winning bikes, as well as thh best starter bikes out there, and they have sold more bikes in the uk than any other company over that last 10 years.I think most people on here have had an onza, or onza parts at some point. Ive had my limey for 3 months now and havnt had a single problem with it.I went to the onza factory this weekend, and saw how much they have put into trials, to help promote it and help it grow, and i looked at some of the ideas and bikes they have made that are really helping trials progress.Onza pricing there bikes cheaper than most other brands is a good thing! And dont forget, there a homegrown british company Scott
