mcinnes
I got a new bike for christmas which was bought off of Tarty Bikes, and one of the rear rock pads Backings has snapped. It still had plenty of pad left on it so if i send it back, will i get a new set?

basher
How long you had the pads, did you get them with the bike at crimbo. As rockpads ust to come in cheap backings when they first came out and it was common for them to snap.

cai
one of the rear rock pads Backings has snapped.Just super-glue a PowerPad backing on, surely one of your mates will have a spare, if not check the classifieds.
Krisboats
Its easy enough to fit your own spare, steves got a pretty damn good guide on the heatsinkbikes website about how to remove material from backings then you can glue it back in with an epoxy resin (araldite is good). Due to the nature of trials its sometimes common for the backings to fail and i've seen original magura backings fail in the same snap-happy way before. It doesn't mean the backings are weak, but sometimes just slightly too much force is put on them or the backing itself is slightly weaker than others from the same batch (unfortunately its ecxeptionally hard to establish which is at fault).Best bet is to ring/email tartybikes as has been said and they'll let you know about the different options you may or may not have. Adrian
if you got them from tartybikes phone them, the replaced loads of my snapped rocks, and new i had a grind, cus thats what those pads are made for... so give them a buzz with your receipt and you should be fine
26inch
should replace them as it sounds like a manufacturing fault
