gasgas rider
hey you guys, i was wondering, could i run a hope pro 2 trials hub on the rear of my echo mod?many thanks
max-t
No mate, i'm afraid not. Mod bikes have narrower dropouts than stock bikes. The Hope Pro II is intended for a stock which is 135mm wide and a mod is 116mm. It's a shame that Hope don't make a Mod version really because loads of people would benefit and Hope would Make so much on them.Max... max-t
For a mod. Either a Profile Mini Casette or a Chris King BMX. Go for the profile though because Kings are more expensive and Require more 'looking after'. You could also consider getting a freewheel and a fixed hub. But arent mods 110mm spacing? 116mm spacing is only specifically for the deng modstock frames. If am right or wrong
max-t
Naa. You may be thinking of a front axle which is 100mm. EDIT: Ahh yer i know what your thinking. Yer, Excluding snail cams or chain tugs they are 110mm. But the 116mm is the space of the dropouts. Adam-Griffin
The only option would be a CK disk hub or a Deng Free-Hub which aren't though very highly of by some people, don't think profile do a rear disk hub, Front freewheel may be something to consider, IMO it's better than running fixed. the croft
I have hear some rumors in the grape vine that hope may be making a 116mm pro 2...But you could always go for a King rear Bmx hub, 116mm... Defo worth a go if u have the cash to spend!

But arent mods 110mm spacing? 116mm spacing is only specifically for the deng modstock frames. If am right or wrong Nope, more or less all hubs are spaced 110 with the excepsion of a monty ti hub which is 106. Frames made to take snails cams which is nearly all frames now are spaced 116 and snail cams are 3mm each making up the difference.
