!!()`/D Posted February 20, 2008 Report Share Posted February 20, 2008 (edited) Ive been having a little trouble with my freehub skipping, does anybody know how to get the splined bit off? Its a mission hub by the way if that helps at all, and please dont ask me to 'search' it because i didnt really find anything helpful, also if anyone could give me a link/diagrams it would be much appreiciated. If you value your face replace it with a Hope Pro II.Good point really but its only a month old, and im skint so id rather fix it, as for the Hope Pro II, i know they're 'good' but i cant really justify paying over £100 for a hub.Edit: not just yet anyway. Token Posted February 20, 2008 Report Share Posted February 20, 2008 (edited) You'll need to remove the cassette and the freehub body which will reveal the pawls, springs and ratchet. You then need to check pawls are all still in once piece, check that the springs underneath the pawls are still pushing the pawls out into the ratchet and check that the ratchet doesn't have any bits/shards of metal bedded into it.It should look like this once you've got it all apart:http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/7710/screenshotae7.pngAs I said just check everything is okay, an then put it back together with a very small amount of oil.
