Adam-Griffin
Looks abit tacky to be honest, just get one of the Foam things that make pencils more comfortable and slide it on.
abtrials
or you could just get some of them cheep gel pens with the gel grips and steel them off and wack them on proper mint, and last forever
lewis.jackson
Grow some balls and warm your levers up when you ride

craigjames
i use material tape, stuff you use to hold pads/gauze over cuts and stuff.the grip from gel pens is a good idea, might try that.i've got really poor circulation and find my fingers going numb unless its actually summer! so i find they make a big difference. Luke Rainbird
Chill out guys, a lot of people use tape/pen bits/neoprene to warm up levers, and it can get damn cold in the winter, especially without glovesTo the original poster - Nice work, a lot of people never think of the little things like this, so fair play for having a go yourself, and props for posting up a guide too.Do the staples not get in the way at all? I may have not quite understood, but I get the impression that the 'flap' they create just hangs out the end, perhaps make the bit a tube, as opposed to stapling two flaps together Try to keep an eye on your spelling and punctuation though. The pictures helped to make it clearer what you meant, but maybe try to get hold of the spell-check addon so that your posts are more readable
abtrials
Grow some balls and warm your levers up when you ridewell thats constructive a?? and its not about balls really is it? who wants freezing fingers when it could be prevented? and who wants to stand and wank off the lever blades every 5 seconds??oh let me guess if i dont wear a jumper and freez i will grow big balls?? come on think about it? it has a point thats why people do it. Jolfa
That looks crap!Lizard skins make(/made) socks for levers, for a couple of quid, why not just use them or something similar?

They sell them at Halfords, pretty expensive for what they are though i seem to remember.

Dan6061
Instead of using staples, i'd just fold the tube over, and glue it down.Would still hold, and would be safer that staples stabbing your fingers!

Looks less tacky too.strangely enough wearing glove doesnt seem to help me. plus gloves and nice foamy grips are horrible. the foam grips are warm, its only where the lever blades are cold that it makes your braking finger cold
