Ben Cox
christ revolver! read the thread! diesel will not perish the seals, the seals will last longer than with water (even though seals bled with water will last years) as the diesel will luibricate the seals better.Ben

Muel
Any oil left in the system will slowly work it's way to the top and sit above the water, so it will have been rebled with water but not cleaned out too well I would have thought. Mark W
i had to bleed my vee the other day, took no time and made no mess My Magura didn't leave tiny shards of metal from the end of it's constantly fraying cable in my finger

robster
Diesel oil is fine, it gives a lighter feel which can only be good for a little kid.I am not sure if it damages owt, but we have run it in various bikes of Robbies for years now with no ill side effects at all.My ten penneth.JP

Gavyn.
I thought diesel started to freeze around the 0 degrees mark? not solid but it goes like jelly or something like that.
N.Wood
Yeah starts to 'cloud' at about 0 degrees where the parrafin starts to solidify, and the whole lot turns into a gel at about -15 degrees.

531joshua
Don't think I'd fancy using diesel, or water... Just use what the manufacturer says use, they've most likely spent a lot of money and time into research on it... I'd go for that special magura blood stuff. Anton
Say if yoh mess around with your buddies and 1 of them decides to light your hosing for a laugh not knowing its diesel? You burn.diesel will not light to a naked flame... it will only ignite at a very very high temp or high compression !just use water stop being special lol Edited September 5, 2008 by Anton
