I'm the same. Pour some water on and leave it, unless its really deep then get stitches and forget about it.

A week off school for that is ridiculous. I can see the deal with not riding on it for a little while till the skins knitted back together (a week or two tops) but that isn't going to get infected with a bandage on it like that and it won't get pulled open through walking around as the stitches are holding it in place.

Obviously don't go playing footbal/rugby at school but you can still go to lessons fine.

...couldnt ride for almost a month and a half, and when it finally healed, it was like a month before the snow came. It sucked :(

...

I wish I could say that. But living in the South/UK, the only type of snow I get is cold, frosty, mud with tints of white. A bit naff really. he he :giggle:

Looks like a nice cut 8) shame the story is 'I slipped with a screwdriver' - But I'm sure you can make something up to cover that :P

Hope it heals nicely for riding again (Y)

Best thing is to say you got it while rescuing puppies from a fire you discovered while you were on a sponsored walk raising money for breast cancer awareness...

60% of the time it works every time...

And top it off with the old 'I've got a month to live' routine...and he's in!
