hello every one

i am not a professional bike painter but i know that when you leave bike just "silver" but it will rust even if it is damp i know this because i have left a bike like this over night outside and it rained it became very rusty almost "duracel" colouring. the only thing you can do to make it "silver2 is buy a sort of chrome paint or a clear paint but do not aply a heavy coats aply light coats.

hopefully this helps good luck

Ow right, i remember now aluminium rusts, yeah its full of all that iron stuff to make iron-oxide (rust). :ermm::giggle: But seriously this is not helpful as kids my think there bikes will rust now!

-All onza's 2005 bikes are NOT steel, there Aluminium

-Only compounds with iron in eg, steel rust

-Only help if you are helping, not confusing people

Back to Q....

If all the paint is removed you will be left with the aluminium, best way to achieve a good finish would be to polish it, and then apply a couple layers of lacquer, as aluminium dose corrode after a while and will form Alo3 aluminium oxide, and the frame will look dull-ish, that’s the oxide thin layer.

Max!
