Brake Pads

Hi all,

I did'nt want to start a new thread and thought this be the best place to ask seen as I can't post in the main forum at the moment.

What's happend to Kool Stop pads, back in the late 90's early 00's they were the boys. I think I am what you would now call old skool because I ride a 27mhz Pashley with stuff like D521's, DMR ring thing - the stuff dreams are made of!

I take it Kool Stops have no place in 2008, which is odd because they always worked really well for me with none of the grinding milarky you guys are on about.

Was thinking of getting those red heatsinks with CNC backings...but i heard that they could break your pistons. Is that true?

I'm currently using Echo brake pads (pink) without the "funky" Echo logos. They're good, nice sticky feel to it. They hold very well too.

But for my next brake pads, i'd really wish to try the heatsinks. Just wanna get that "done USE CNC BACKING PADS THEY CLD BREAK UR PISTONS"

sorted out. Thanks!
