The Duck
Surely, your joking? How are you supposed to wash it?Nah not joking. I'll dig it up one of these days.Something about riding in damp conditions voids the warrenty, also no parts of the drivetrain are warrantied due to the nature of trials riding. Captain Scarlet
I thought that Onza bikes have no manufacturers warranty on them what so ever, and that the "Half price cash replacement" was just a seperate Onza scheme? Mark W
Think it's a 12 month statutory manufacturing defect setup, with the crash replacement thing as a "We know you're going to abuse these and break them, so we'll try and help out in some way" offering? Endohopper
found out on the diamondback website it says LIFETIME warranty!Warranty siteLooks promising untill you inspect the fine print :... but I'm certain you'll be entitled to some form of replacement / compensation . Mark W
If you open the box and not a professional mechanic, that voids it basically, so nothing. If it's not assembled, adjusted, maintained or just generally fettled with by a professional cycle mechanic, they void it. If you ride it for anything at all, they void it. If it fails 'cos of accidental damage, wear and tear, or anything at all other than a weld pinging off when it's brand new, they void it. craigjames
thats also the diamondback US site.from the uk site:Q. I have a problem with my bike and it is covered under warranty. What do I do? A. In the first instance, refer back to the retailer you purchased the bike from. If you purchased your bike from a shop which is not local to you, or over the internet, click here to see our dealer locator. Select the Raleigh dealer of your choice and contact them to request that they undertake the work required. You will not be required to pay for warranty work undertaken – we will directly reimburse the retailer for any parts or labour as appropriate. Please note that in order for us to verify that your cycle is within the guarantee period, proof of purchase will be required.basically take it to your local dealer, make sure youve got a proof of purchase and raleigh will help you as much as they can. they dont want you bad mouthing their products. Or go to the raleigh uk website and speak to raleigh uk. having had to deal with the warranty guys at raliegh uk a fair few times i know that theyre helpful people. just be polite, explain the situation and they will sort you. I think this shows its better to go with a more respected company even though it might cost a bit more, unlike diamondback who aren't exactly known for their quality. Waynio
oh dear..............this is not a good start from this list of events.....Ashton now has a diamond back team (yes the product will get better and more durable)but if people break this stuff and dont have luck/joy with warranty they will be put off the product....oh dear.as others have said, Planet X and brant and marmite!as onzaboymark said, the onza warranty is one of the better ones if not the best BUT what is more positive, we have not had an onza broken in our shop for WELL OVER 3+ years...... goes to show that R&D on things is good and that UK team type testing is working. ok i will have to say, on light competition stuff you are bound to have problems but products built to prices SHOULD be durable if on the heavy side. (and strong!)Wayne.
