Is it cheaper to buy abroad e.g. webcyclery because i had a look at some of the complete bikes and when they are converted from dollars to pounds they are cheaper. but because they are in america will you have to pay a huge shipment charge??

The savings won't be massive. You'll pay big shipment charges aswell as import tax; simply not worth the hassle. And you're brakes will be opposite!

Buy from a UK retailer and keep them going. You might pay a wee bit more, but its worth the service.

Unless it states that their shipment is free worldwide (like aspire) then yes, it'll rape you.

thanks, but one thing i found out about the brakes is you can get them built opposite (uk standard way) on there for free

keep it up you wil be validated in no time .

basicly where ever you buy something it all comes down to bloody p&p

Not bad within the UK though...£15 for a full bike, 1st class next day! Not bad at all if you ask me...and retailers DO NOT make a profit on P&P; although some do try it on. Even sellers on the Classfields occasionally.

I was once quoted about £3-4 to post some pads...

I ordered my zoo python frame from Spain, i got it for 280 inc postage which is very reasonable.

plus i received my frame before it had even been properly released in th UK:D

but i guess they may rape you on postage on a fully bike.

best bet mate get some quotes!

Gary.
