liam-pantera Posted February 9, 2008 Report Share Posted February 9, 2008 you have to be careful with echo forged cranks , for some bash and cog setups you need to use a spacer that should have been provided when purchased which covers up the part of the crank without threads . I used an Echo bashring. and I'll be using that little spacer ring in future, as I have a bashplate.I don't believe the problem lay there. I am guessing it was poor manufacturing or tolerances. Just a dodgy thread from a bad batch I hope.Don't, I chucked the spacer and ground the crank arm down almost upto the thread so the freewheel hit the crank arm, thus using all of the available thread. Matthew_Gibson Posted February 10, 2008 Report Share Posted February 10, 2008 I Havent/didnt have a problem with the Echo cranks that I had, I was running a free wheel on the front with a bash then no bash, All I done was to cut the bash down, so It acted like a spacer. Can you not get in touch with Panpa and say that you got the x months ago, and justr came back from injury. Maybe they wil be sympathetic.....
