BIG Drew
Again sorry to steal your topic but does it make your pc boot up faster if you put xp in its own partition?
Danny
If its a brand name pc e.g. compaq/hp etc it will come with a 'restore' cd that you simply put in the drive reboot and follow the on screen instructions which will return it to the state it was in when you got it. Revolver
some viruses infect the registry, and so can still be there if you reformat your computer
JonMack
some viruses infect the registry, and so can still be there if you reformat your computerHave you any idea what the registry is?!Oh and by that I mean: You're wrong. When you format, it wipes EVERYTHING and reinstalls it, even your registry , so when you format, it would remove all traces of any viruses/spyware/malware on your computer.
