Cyklist
Hi,just thought I'd share a new product I came across today that might interest you. Was checking out the 2008 workbook at work from the company that among other things also distribute Continental bicycle tires over here.Found this, the 2,4" Rubber Queen that comes in an extra soft Black Chili compound, is foldable and weighs in at 850g. So now it seems like there's an alternative to the Schwalbe. Actually just ordered a Schwalbe to try out in the rear but I'm thinking of trying one of those to see how those Apex sidewalls works out, our salesman owes me a favour soo. Anyway, here's some pics and at the bottom a link to the german version of their site where there's some information too. Said to be available early this spring.Rubber Queen infoCheers!// Gustav

N.Wood
Cheers bro, looks pretty good..Tread pattern looks similar to the Big Betty, the black chili compound seems to work well on my road tyres, nice and sticky.
NVWOCI WVS
I absolutely love continental tyres, the tread patterns seem to be the perfect balance of grip and rolling resistance, and the construction seems awesome on all the continentals i've ever owned.I'm currently using a Continental Explorer 2.1 on the front of my stock and its less than half the weight of a dual ply maxxis high roller at 598g! also seems to perform better, loads of grip and the way the sidewalls fold is nicer on the continental, seems much more controlled. Never had a puncture in any continental tyre either, but when i used michelin world tours on my roady i had 4 or 5 in a year. this may just be luck but i doubt it.In cnclusion: Continental tyres are friggin' awesome

craigjames
ooooh nice and light might have to give them a go on the trials bike and the intense. good find
Ali C
personally I find tyres with a thicker (heaiver) sidewall to be much more controllable. Thinner lighter tyres squirm and rebound too fast when compressed meaning sketchy ridings.I am interested in know exactly what compound continentals softest is though. James Quigley
In my experience Continentals tend to pinch quite easily. Can't vouch for that new one though.

psycholist
Based on my experience with conti vapours and explorers on my XC bike you're dead meat if you expect conti tyres to grip on anything damp. Maxxis (And the condiment of your choice )...
