Daniel C
ino there is topics and videos of grinding a rim on the floor but i was just wondering can you grind a rim by putting your axel in a vice and spinning the wheel and holding the grinder against it? JonMack
I don't know why you would want to do that. Also for hubs like CKs and ProIIs its easier putting it on the floor because there isn't really an "axle" to be able to clamp into the vice. Plus putting it on the floor you know that it's not going to slip. If you had it in a vice I would be too worried about doing it up tight enough. Too tight and you'd crush the axle, too loose and the wheel would move, and you'd end up slipping and grinding something you didnt want to, such as a wall, or a body part.I'd stick with the floor + foot method. Callum-Luvs-Trials
There you go.I did mine a bit diffrent.Get someone to spin the wheel at a gentle speed and you just hold the angle grinder at the angle you want it.Hope this helps.
