Trials Forum Merchandising?

Even after reading this Danny?

Just thinking about the '***' bit. Say for example.. your on a night out (in your fave TF tshirt of course) - a nice looking lady comes up and says 'what does "***" mean?'. Lets go through a possible reply. I'll put an asterisk at any point where said lady is likely to walk away thinking you're a gimp.

Well, I'm on this website*, and the people on there made it so whenever you type F.T.W*, which is an acronym* for 'for the win'* on the internet*, it automatically changes it to '***'*. If your lady is still there, each asterisk I put here now will stand for roughly 5 minutes of awkward silence.

*******.

Each to their own ofcourse, but you can't seriously be thinking 'wow I look cool with this shirt on'. As a rough comparison, where I live in Sussex, there's a SussexStreetCars forum an I see plenty of people with these SussexStreetCars stickers over their cars, to me, that is screaming out 'I'm a BELLEND!' and I think something like this will sort of fit into that category. Maybe I'm being obtuse?

I like the way there's a 50:50 split of love/hate for '***'.

The back of the T-shirt could say "OTN and biscuits"

With Trials-Forum *** on the front.

Seems like we need two designs, a jam/biscuits free version for the kool kittens, and the jam/biscuits laden version for people like me, who just don't give a shit, and who are looking solely to have a laugh at the comps.

***....for f**k sake, sick of it already. It'll only be the flavour of the month and then it'll die a death...its happened before with about every obsession on this forum. You're going to buy a shirt that will last for a year or so, and you want a joke on it that, even now, is getting out dated?

I wouldn't mind buying one, its an extra riding shirt! Saves me getting my normal shirts oily and sweaty.

Tom/Danny, consider talking to Adam at tartybikes and ask about their tee shirts? Pretty good printing/quality with those, cheap too!

and the jam/biscuits laden version for people like me, who just don't give a shit

Annnnaaaarrrrrccccchhhhhyyyyyy! f**k the police!

haha, kidding ;)

It was added to the swear filter on 11th Nov. Flavour of the last 4 months? Or here to stay? :giggle:

I'm in the 'I'd never wear a T-shirt with that on' camp but if some people want it, Tom/Danny should be able to rise them out for a few quid?

What about a T-shirt design comp? The forum votes for their favourite 1 or 2 designs and the winner(s) get a free T-shirt?

why a T-shirt?

Every man and his dog, and even the bloke that cleans his dog, has a t-shirt for something.

Wheres the orignialty?

Why not release something that stands out? Something no one else has done.

Theres no real gains to be made in stealing other people ideas, or in this case fonts and pictures....

Sounds good to me. To be honest it wouldn't really be for the profit (although it'd be nice to make something, but a couple of hundred wouldn't even pay for 2 months hosting), but it would be good publicity for the site, and if it keeps members happy, then I'd be happy to sort it (Y)

see i was going to suggest, you got a load made up, sold a load(enough to make your outlay back,) then once it quitened down, sent the rest off to tarty/trials-uk/selectbikes whoever you could strike up an agreement with. and had them send a set out with every order till they ran out. but then thought, is advertising for a none profit site that good really.
