    • Yes. I would defiantly buy one! New at full price.

    • I would most likely buy one new sometime in my life, but don't want to commit to anything yet.

    • There's a slight chance I may (but probably wont), or I?d buy one second hand. But I think they should be available.

    • No, never. I use a magura / vee. But I think they should be available for disc users.

As we all must be aware by now. JT + spare time = stupid polls + annoyed bike component manufactures.

Anyway, I emailed profile asking about disc hubs. They do them, but with a 26" shell on a 110mm axel. Meaning that the rotor would end up a few mill too close to the actual disc mount on the frame. So you'd have to use spacers and / or remove material from the rotor mounts or something along those lines. The've sold about a dozen to date.

Profile said that trials is too small of a market to be deigning a new hub and they wouldn't make their money back because they wouldn't sell about 200 of them.

However, I'm thinking that because double disc is just taking off now, and there's no other alternative other than to use front freewheel or modify an existing hub. It would be welcomed with opened arms and would sell lots worldwide.

If a profile disc hub was created, would you buy?

Vote away and discuss. :)

I had one on my mod when i converted it to disk. Very good, very strong, but quite heavy. If your alright with the added rear weight then it will be 100x better than a fixed rear disk hub and a front freewheel (Y) I bought mine new.

They already do a Profile disk mod rear hub, i bought mine from Tarty a few years back, but i did make my own adapter so the spacing wasnt a problem.

Not all of us can make our own adaptor though. :P

The poll is about them creating one, and selling it as an actual product, the one they can make you at the moment is a 135mm shell on a 110mm axel.

I chose the "i dont care but still wanted to vote" as i ride stock, and stock trials bike + their hubs = a good merking of their hubs (apperently) havn't got the money or the time put the theory to the test though.

Profile mod disc hubs however would be cool.

I think what would be cooler is a Profile mod disc hub that meant you didnt need to make/bodge any adaptors. That would be awesome.

That's what the topic is about.

you missed out the

"no I already have the best hub available thanks to Mr King "

vote.

Well it's kind of aimed at people who ride mods. Not them shitty stocks :P

Oh okay. It's just my BMX King has an ISO shell on it but obviously the spacing is wrong. I didn't think you meant actually properly design a hub with the correct spacing, I just thought you meant make Profile sell BMX hubs with the MTB ISO shells on.

I have a King on my mod.
