hugh_b
hey guy's, a friend of mine has asked me to build him an e-commerce shop for a small business he wants to start up. However i am a mac user and have only ever used i-web to design my site and another company's. What software is available for a microsoft which is pretty similar to i-web? By that i mean quite easy to make a reasonable looking e-commerce shop but quite easily for example drag and drop everything and basic text boxes etc? thanks-Hugh
SamHolmes
Think most people will say Dreamweaver, not used i-web so I couldn't compare
tomturd
Microsoft FrontPage is probably the web developers software of choice when it comes to developing ecommerce sites. But why not just use osCommerce or something instead. Saves you the hassle.
JonMack
I would have said it was easier to download an open source e-commerce base than to make your own. If you don't really have any idea about programming then it's not going to be an easy task.
MadManMike
My favourite is IBM Lotus Notes Domino Server - not easy to use though, unless you've had training.
hugh_b
hehe seems quit complex, i have just been told that it may be possible to use i-web and use paypal as the payment method! I've been considering using a microsoft so my mate can use his laptop to update but it may be alot of hassle to set up. thanks guys
