Adrian J
hey, just a quick question. What forks are these on the echo lite displayed on tartybikes in the 20" frames section? bottom image....carbon straight blades of some sort? ive seen them on danny and ashley butlers bikes but was wondering if you can buy them and if so where from? what forks are these?cheers, Adrian J x Edited February 4, 2008 by Adrian J
Muel
Aww my forks have been recognised!! That's my bike on there. Sorry dude, they are one offs, only ever been one set made. They are Pace XC forks cut down and rebonded by the previous owner at great expence, you could get it done, but when you think how much the forks cost and then I think he said it was £80 to get them shortened. Muel
ah fair enough man, very very nice looking forks , do they ride nice? not flexy or anything?cheers, Adrian JThey do flex quite a bit more than my Echo Lite's, but it's not a dead flex like aluminium, it's dead springy so they are great for hooking and stuff, but I run the Echo's for normal riding, I don't want to twat the side of them and splinter/crack the carbon. They also feel a bit too flexy for front wheel moves, but they are only 677g, so the weight saved comes in handy when your riding comp style sections.I havn't done a comp on them yet, will do soon hopefully. What are you riding? Try ringing or emailing them and asking if theyll will do you a set with shortened leg lenght. Nopt sure if theyll charge you or not. The 06 is a short, 1005mm. The 07 is a long, 1020mm. I will be ordering an 08 long in about an hour.So I guess you could say they are the best bikes I have ever ridden. Links to pics in my signiture.
