Davetrials
you can use a hs33/11 lever with a magura caliper but it feels really spongey.

planet x alan
Dont do it.why?
Al_Fel
I did it with and old louise and it worked great. Used water aswell. I'm sure water wouldn't be any good in the long run but it worked fine.

aaron chase
what abou with a marta discbrake?could run?
Al_Fel
I personally didn't have it for long but I sold the bike to a friend and he had it a few months and it worked perfect. To be honest it didn't even feel spongy it felt the same as the disc lever only not as wobbly. This was the 04 magura style lever though. Zordon
Usually (if not always), disc brakes lever pistons are of smaller diameter than a hs33 ones. It means that if you change the lever to a hs33 one it will feel more solid but at the same time it won't be as powerful. On the contrary, connecting a disc brake lever to hs33 calipers will result in very spongy lever, making it probably unrideable no matter how many dozens of boosters will you use.
