spartan
Ok so I'm in the market for a new front disc brake. A lot of people have suggested the bb7 but i have had several bad experiences with them in the past. I also prefer the feeling of a hydraulic brake. So I am trying to decide which brake is better. Price is not an object because i get big discounts on avid products so it is more and issue of weight, power modulation. The Juicys i have felt in the past feel really good but im not sure whether they have as much power or modulation as the code. And seeing as the code is only 50 grame heavier it seems like a better deal. Also, what is the difference between the Juicy 7 and the Juicy ultimate??.Thanks for the help guys,Ian
liam-pantera
a juicy ultimate has carbonfibre lever and verious titanium and aloy parts making it lighter , also keep in mind that the code diskbrake was designed as a freeride brake witch will have more modulation . if i was you i would get the juicy seven but your probbaly going to get bombarded by people saying buy a hope
kristov
Juciy 7 and codes are way to poweful for trials juciy 3 or juciy ultimate max. also don't get a massive roter either 160mm or 180mm.

spartan
So the juicy 7 has alot of bit meaning it will stop the wheel really quickly. So should i go for the juicy or no??
Jason222
Whichever Avid you get, don't get one with a carbon lever...They come loose and have a lot of problems. Stick with the regular lever designs.
