N Roach
Hi,Just been looking at the 26" forks on tartybikes and it seems as if these forks are identical, except for the disk mounting. Does anyone run Meta Forks? How do they ride in comparison with Koxx forxx? Is there any point paying an extra £45 for Koxx Forxx instead of Meta Forks? The length of the koxx forks are 405 and the Meta Froks are 410, Does 5mm really make a difference?Meta ForksKoxx Forxx Edited January 29, 2008 by Koxx_Nath.C
hugh_b
Meta forks for the win dude! They are really well made, not sure how similar they are to koxx forks apart from looks but go for the meta's you won't be disappointed. A load cheaper too
liam-pantera
i dont know man but i would avoid the koxx forks there so light but at the same time you can feel every tiny bit of flex and there just to weak .
NVWOCI WVS
I'd bet they're made in the same factory then have the disc mounts welded on separately.edit: spelling (damn keyboard!) .GUY.
Hugo at HBtrials told me it was nearly the exact same fork except for the 5mm and PRICE! I'd get a Meta!
Luke Rainbird
They're not exactly the same fork if one's longer and has different disc mounts (well, positions), but since 80% of trials forks come out of the same factory/catalogue, it's to be expected. It is rather absurd though, that such similar products can be priced not only so high, but also have such a difference in price
Alex Dark
My koxx forxx are brilliant....no flex at all ( that i can feel! )

I did run Koxx forxx on the K-sas, and they were ok, no flex. But for the price, I think Meta.Cheers Nathan
grantham
not 100% sure but also the meta ones might be slightly wider at the top, ore tyre clearance, adams the best one to ask. nothing wrong with koxx forks in my opinion they're the best forks i've used and i've used most! Greetings
I'm sure Tart will address this question soon Anyway, I'd go for what's cheaper, Koxx forks aren't known for supreme durability, and as of today one doesn't really have to worry about the quality too much. They're probably made in the same factory, especially if the dropouts are identical meaning the quality should be fairly similar if not the same. grantham
You kinda have to say that though dont you Patt hmm i dont have to, but thats an honest opinion, i'm yet to brake a set an have broken lots of other forks, even if i wasnt on a koxx id still run the forks, nice and light. I had a go on the meta forks to on hughs bike there pretty much the same, just the disc mount is different height and possibly the tyre clearance but im not 100% on that. The new monty forks on the kamel are very similar but much wider at the top maybe the meta ones are like those?
