left foot forward, stock rider:

mech hanger snappage :(

i know this topic has come up a milion times and i should have used the search but for the life of me i cant understand why there hasnt been a new device invented to sort this out

there should be:

a horizontal dropout trials bike brought out (i know there is the mbk or what ever it is but its very expensive

or a hub that we can use that puts the chain on the left hand side of the bike

i know there is mod stock but i dont trust the echo hubs and cannot aford the chris king

ive also had a 74 kings but also snapped that

is there anyone here in the same boat as me but has come up with a solution???

thanks

1. I shouldn't of swore but it was as equally as rude as you're post. 2. It is a comma or a full stop you need, NOT a enter key. 3. The shift button is located below the enter key (USE IT). 4. Use grammar, it helps.....

Thanks for your time

Likewise...

Run something like a 74kingz style arrangement perhaps?

Seems to be one of the better solutions :)

Dude lay off him, he's only lookig for help and all you can do is have a dig at him.

I suppose you could get one of them 74 Kings tensioners, but i'm not sure how good they are, as i've heard different reviews on them.

I had this same problem myself and everytime i missed a sidehop or something my hanger bracket would go, so i got a modsock. Of course it would be a cheaper option to get a tensioner but you rally ca hit the hell out of the modstock frames andif your wheel moves (not that it does) you can move it back and into tension easily. I know for a fact by how my riding is that i would have broken several of those tensioners by now.

If you did get a modstock then you wouldn't necassarily have to get a King BMX hub, but they are ridiculously cheap from AspireVeloTech. You could even get a Profile BMX hub which i think retail at around £160. Or another option would be to get a mod spaced fixed hub and use a front freewheel like a Tensile or an ENO.

I have and if he doesn't want to listen to your help then thats his problem isn't it. Theres no need for you to post back in such a way.

So his post was perfectly acceptable? I apologised and admitted i shouldn't of reacted like that what more do you want? Too right it is his problem but to be honest if he goes around writing posts like his at the momentm and just being generally sarcastic, good luck with getting validated (Y)

I see what your geting at.Maybe he was being sarcastic, maybe he wasn't. But if he wants to talk to you like that then like you said, good luck to him getting validated. But theres no need to retaliate. I'm just trying to keep some peace here.

i had no intension in upsetting anyone in this thread i was looking for help, if there is one thing i hat on this forum its the squables it just seems childish to me.

i have tried a 74 kings this snapped on me.

on mod stocks ive herd that the profile hubs dont work as well as they do on mods as there is more presure from the bigger wheel setup?

that atomz looks interesting is there any pics about of it fully set up for me to investigate into??

Mike Singleton has one on his Adamant and its holding up mint. Heres the kind of stuff he does. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HzNbOifgAU.

Definately not small.

EDIT: The stock ones are the ones hat are not really up to scratch. This is a BMX hub anyway, it should be able to take a lot of stress.

What's that got to do with the price of bacon? I ride right foot forward and have snapped more than I care to remember :P

is there anyone here in the same boat as me but has come up with a solution???

Best solution I ever came up with - Use your old one as a template to make one out of steel, costs pence if anything at all and you can bend them back into shape (Y)

with been left foot forward i sidehop to my right, and when gapping to fron i pivot the back end that way aswell, ive tried doing it the oposite way like tunniclife but when ever i side hop my foot catches the wall, and on gaps to front i feel like im turning myself inside out.

do you make the steel ones yourself or do you take the templates to a metal works? sounds like a good idea, if the price is right could be able to make numerous amounts and jus ride with a bag full of them haha

thanks for the feedback
