Tony Harrison
I have a Giant team trials frame (later type) that I want to build up just for fun (it's shorter than my current bike). Anyway, it has internal headset cups in the frame, but I don't have the rest of the headset. Are they generally a standard size/type? Could I just buy, say, an FSA internal headset, and should it fit? Thanks.
Caleb
yeah as long as its internal and not integral, tarty do a cheap good one/ alternatively the onza headset is just a re badged cane creek from my experience it looks that way anyway.you can still knock out the internal cups in the conventionally way too by the way and install a full fresh headset.good luck with the build
N.Wood
Aye should be fine...Take a look at getting the headtube faced (if not already done) though, mine was pretty damn wonkey.

Tony Harrison
So internal and integral are different things? Also, I think there might be two sizes: 45mm and 50mm. I'll have to measure the frame to be sure.
AdamR28
So internal and integral are different thingsYes:Internal = cups go inside the frame and bearings go inside the cupsIntegral = bearings press directly into the frameInternal is 44mm diameter Adam
