amoeba
Hi all, just a quick query about magura branded 4bolt mounts..Mine has just snapped on me during alignment. I can understand how the slightest bit of movement in the slaves (if not tightened properly) may produce more stress on the mount, however the slave in question was mounted / tightened fully and only snapped on pulling the lever to check alignment. Was just wondering if this is a one off or if it has happened to anyone else in the past? Also - any recommendations on my next choice from tartybikes?.. I have been told the Echo 4bolt mounts are generally the stiffest!Ta..
mairomaster
Hmm this is very strange. Were they new? All deng clamps are very good - alu 7075CNCed. Choose that one which you like most.

Luke Rainbird
Sounds like it might have been overtightened perhaps?Either way, nice and easy to sort out, either by getting a new set, or by sticking a vee on instead
spaceman
(I was doing a search and this came up) My echo clamps can't fit over my cylinders properly. I have to force them in and then the plastic cylinder washers would get chewed. So much for the CNC? I tried with my friend's magura ones and they fitted over good. Maybe I'm just unlucky.
