echo_rob
Hey there,I was wondering if weight has any major impact on trials. Does it prevent progression or prevent skills from improving?I sort of know a fantastic rider (dont know his name but everyone calls him Bigman) who is pretty beefy but that doesn't seem to how stopped him from becoming a great rider, and smooth too! Which I know alot of lighter rides aren't!!! I'm about 12 and 1/2 stone and I dont know if I could improve if I was lighter.any help????cheersrob
Danny Kearns
It depends. Bigman's a tall lad so his weight is spread out over a large diameter, so thats why he's got so much power in riding. If he was shorter, like 5ft 6-7 for, he wouldn't even be able ride trials imo.But no. I don't think it affects your ridiing. I just suppose been a bigger built lad your powerfulDanny.
Muel
It's not the fat that holds you back, it's your own fitness and stregnth. But yes, the lighter you are, the easier your muscles will find it to power you foward. If you get my drift.
Pashley26
I'm 13 stone 5 and 6 foot 2.....It dosen't hold me back If you get stronger and bigger you will loose a bit of weight anyway, but muscle still weighs a bit !Jarrod
