munkee Posted January 29, 2008 Report Share Posted January 29, 2008 my parents have done awesome although played it for like 15 years now or however long its been running.They've had 4 number about 6 times, 5 numbers 2 and 5 + bonus once (and on that same draw were 1 number off the jackpot they had like 16 and the final number was 17.. sooo close!) problem is that everytime they have won big loads of other people have as well but they had to go to the lottery hq place for the +bonus and had a photograph and everything proper bo. Even though you can get your money back at any time with premium, you only ever get back the money you originally put in if you haven't won anything. Your money is worth less when you take it out than when you put it in, due to the effect of inflation. Premium bonds essentially mean everyones interest is paid in the form of prizes to a few people. James Quigley Posted January 29, 2008 Report Share Posted January 29, 2008 I had an Auntie win £500,000.She's pretty minted anyway so gave £200,000 to each of her 2 kids and sharded the rest out amoung family.Think she only kept like £20,000 to herself.Our family got £1000 (£200 each) which is a bonus considering we're not that close.
