Gandalf the Yellow
right, everyone knows stocks are 135mm, and mods are 110mm (same as a bmx).but why are mod stocks 116mm? does it mean its too wide to run any bmx hubs? need to know as the DOB im getting is 116mm and im thinking about running a profile on it.cheerssteve
Adam-Griffin
:$ I thought Mod's where 116mm
Ladd
:$ I thought Mod's where 116mm They are adam ! lol but if you think about it if you had 135 at the rear the rear stays would be quite far out and rear would flex more i thinnk ? JonMack
Mods and Mod-Stocks are 116. Hubs are 110, and the remaining 6mm is taken up by snail cams.
esfrost
Its is not that simple. The Deng hubs are 116mm including snail cams, the monty/tryall hubs are all 110m including snail cams. Deng mod frames are 116mm including snail cams, monty frames are 110mm including snail cams. I suppose those mod stock frames are the same as the deng mond frames. Correct me if im wrong. python_man
almost all mod stock frames are deng anyway arent theysurely he wouldnt make parts that wouldnt go together with his different products.mods 116mm with snail camsmod stocks 116mm with snail camsstock 135mmthats the way i see itbut to answer your questions you should be able to run your profile on the mod stock, as long as it is 116mm frame and you have a tenmm axle not a 14mm axel from a bmx Edited January 23, 2008 by python_man
