Cyklist
Hi,finally got the last few parts for my new bike and built it up today!Been two years since I rode trials and back then I had a mod, but after riding this one a hour tonight I must say that it feels quite nice. I might add that it was -10 degrees, ice everywhere and only a really small area that was rideable. Still a lot of fun but I definetley want summer now!Frame: GU LE 26"Forks: Echo PureHeadset: CaneCreekStem: TryAllBars: AdamantGrips: EchoBrakes: HS33, with water+antifreezeBooster: TryAllPads: ZooBottom bracket: Meta ISISCranks: TryAll 170mm ISISPedals: VP, slightly trimmed downBash: GU wannabe Symmetrik, customized by me 32 gram only!Chain: KMC Kool SLFreewheel: VizChain tensioner: 74 KingzRear hub: GU fixedFront hub: VizSpokes: DT Competition 3-cross in the rear, 2-cross up frontNipples: DT AluRear rim: TryAll with drilled inner wallFront rim: TryAllRim strips: TryAllTubes: StandardRear tire: Maxxis Minion DHR, 42aFront tire: TryAll Stiky 2,0Weight: Exactly 10,4kg measured part by part on a digital scale.Cheers! Cyklist
Thanks a lot!Haha, no, I'm not mad. The split link was just temporary, didn't have time to find the tool to fit the chain properly and wanted to take some pics while it still was daylight. Simpson
Looks the sex mate! i wouldn't run that chain with a split link if you payed me though. There renowned for being weak and snap happy. Don't want it snapping and you maybe scratching something

Tom Booth
but are you mad! running a split link in your chain?Oh dear. They are no weaker then normal links. I'd be more worried about the chain being the light weight version.Bike looks nice thou, fist bike I have seen in ages with F&R maggies! Cyklist
Thanks a lot!Haha, no, I'm not mad. The split link was just temporary, didn't have time to find the tool to fit the chain properly and wanted to take some pics while it still was daylight. I'm not running a split link. And most of them actually are really weak since most of them are made for cheap chains with the intention to be fitted on a crappy city bikes. However, some actually are pretty much just as strong as a pin. Got one a couple of years ago that came with a KMC Kool that I ran on my bmx that was of good quality. And thanks for the comments! Unfortunatley I've only ridden it once yet since the weather over here's just awful. Snow and ice all over the place. Can't wait for spring though!
