In simpleton terms. I have a w910i. I put a crack in the screen, with the "bleeding" occuring on the screen.

I rung o2, told them. They said it wasnt covered under the warranty? and that i had to buy a new phone? wtf?

I want them to fix it:S, ill pay for the repair lol. Why do i have to buy a new phone :S

Not insured? A cracked screen is classed as 'abuse' so no supplier would accept it under warrenty (goes for anything, not just phones).

Check your folks home insurance...sometimes you're covered for things you didn't realise.

Before you pay to have it fixed, look at how much it would cost you to cancel your contract. Usually its the price of the phone plus a smallish admin fee. But it might be worth paying out an extra £40 something quid and cancelling, then start a new contract with an updated phone (not sure how old your phone is).
