Rob Brodie
hey guys, well ive had a shot at building my first front wheel today and ive had a few problems...ive been following the guide in the wiki on this forum but as you probably know it is for a 3x wheel, which in all fairness is no use to me.ive laced the wheel right - ive got the spokes in the right holes ect. but the wheel is leaning over the non-drivesideheres a sort of make shift diagram: -\-imagining that the '-' lines are the hub and the '\' is the rim.so first of all i was wondering how i would pull it over?(if i spin the wheel it stays at the same angle for the full rotation so it isn't a buckle)secondly the spokes that are crossing the others are bulging out heres another one of my super cool make shift diagrams: /||\-| || |- \||/i think what ive done is that i havent put the 'overlaping' spoke under anyothers but that is my opinion!?so could someone out there please help as i would like to have it going for the poole ride this weekend without charge! thanks alot guys..rob. Whack it in you forks use them as a guidline. Basiacally i go round and get all the nipples tightish see how that is about 3 full turns and then you need to start gettin it true, rule of thumb either half or quarter turns what youd o to one side do the opposite to the other. The way your build works is in the three spokes so i.e. tighten 2 loosen 1. Just read what i wrote^^^^ sounds wank i know what i mean add em if you need help he_llo@hotmail.co.ukTom

Ladd
Basically put the wheel in the forks and tighten all one side of the spokes until its straight in the forks. so if its way over on the non disc side like touching the forks tighten the disc side spokes

The Stig
Ok well if it isn't in the trueing it must be the lacing did you use the guide, or was it no use to you? What did you do 2 over one under or w/e can't remember the right way round (long time since building), Did you find the right hole on the other side of the hub? The 1st one is crucial Tom (like we said get some pics tonight or tomorrow and we will tell you the problem)
