Muel
Onehandedluke did a similar thing, I'll try and find the topic.
Captain Scarlet
I believe that it does work just not very well.General stopping would work fine but anything like trials use isn't a load of good.As well as the fact how you need extended leverage as you have to pull 2 brakes rather than one.Luke on here has tried loads of different ideas, such as splitter and two cables from one lever, he even had two hoses into one magura lever but this just made the lever super spongy. So yes it works, just not very well and definately not for trials usage. Hendy
I dont know why he's not Validated. I checked his profile and his spelling and topics seem pretty good.Ahh well there must be a reasonable explanation
Alex Dark
Theres no real point...i had the same idea but gave up when i couldnt make it work...I thought i could use on of the old maggie discs, (sealed system ones )a hose splitter an hs33....split the hose coming out of the hs33 lever and route it to the disc ..however..they would never bite at the same time ( effectively negating the extra power gained ) and would be extremely mushy
Krisboats
deore becuase the cheaper ***Unfotunately you get what you pay for. The shimano deore stuff is generally crap because its made to a smaller budget. If its going on the back of a trials bike you'll want a disc brake with an amazing amount of bite and hold. The deore brakes don't really lock up very well and they have far too much modulation. So if you were to try one for trials it would be very hard to get it to lock up properly when you land anything, the result would be that you end up looping out and falling on your arse/back/head. I like a little bit of sponge.
Tamness™
Seems too much hassle for what you're getting out of it. I'd just go with a rear maggy and be done with it.
dirt jumper jake
Seems too much hassle for what you're getting out of it. I'd just go with a rear maggy and be done with it.i only have 1 and 1/2 of a set of evo mounts for a magua hs11/33 so i cant, and the reason im buying deore is because im not spending a massive amount of money on not perticually good frame i use it for jumping and not trialsi just really need some parts that are budget and not like realy expensive as i only get £20 a month.by the way guys this isnt for a trials bike its for a 2003 sarcen x-ray thing Edited January 22, 2008 by dirt jumper jake
